Heat is as old a stimulus as cold. Unlike a classic sauna, infrared hyperthermia warms the tissues rather than the air — and does so while you lie comfortably with your head outside.
What is it?
Hyperthermia is the controlled raising of body temperature. In infrared hyperthermia, this warming is achieved with infrared rays. Because infrared rays heat the tissues directly rather than the air, they create a feeling of deeper warmth at a lower ambient temperature than classic saunas.
Short, controlled heat is a hormetic stimulus that activates the body’s heat-shock response. Sweating, circulation and relaxation are among the most noticeable effects of this application.

How is it applied?
The cabin in our clinic has a dome shape. You lie down; your body stays inside the cabin while your head remains outside. This makes breathing easy while the body warms up, and you stay mentally calm. Heat and duration are adjusted gradually according to your body’s response; our specialist monitors you throughout the session.
What happens in a session?
A session usually lasts 30–45 minutes. We recommend that you avoid heavy meals, alcohol and caffeine beforehand and drink enough water. After the session you are asked to drink plenty of fluids and rest for a while. A slight feeling of relaxation and heaviness is normal.
Who is it considered for?
It may be considered for those who find a classic sauna hard to tolerate, those with a high stress load who find it hard to relax, and those who want to use heat stimuli as part of a programme based on hormesis.
Points to note
In conditions such as cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, pregnancy, feverish illness and the use of certain medicines that cause heat sensitivity, the application is not performed or is subject to a physician’s approval.

Plenty of fluids and rest after the session; the change is tracked with measurements. Your results are always reviewed with a specialist physician, in clear and understandable language.
Is any preparation needed for infrared hyperthermia?
A light meal, enough water, and avoiding alcohol and caffeine. We send you the necessary preparation instructions before your appointment.
Who is infrared hyperthermia not suitable for?
Eligibility is always determined by a physician’s assessment. In conditions such as pregnancy, cardiovascular disease and uncontrolled chronic illness, some applications are not performed or require a physician’s approval.
