What is it?
How old are you, really?
Two people may be born in the same year, but their bodies do not age at the same pace.
GenoAge combines your routine blood values with a comprehensive lifestyle survey to calculate your biological age. With the PhenoAge method, the Life's Essential 8 cardiovascular health score and a lifestyle score across eight areas, it shows the areas affecting how fast you age.
Measurements, blood draw and interpretation of the report take place at Cellavia with your physician; the report is prepared on the GenoAge platform of our partner GENOMEDİS.

A measurable goal
A concrete number you can track, instead of an abstract 'healthy living' goal.
Shows what drives it
The blood values and lifestyle areas that contribute most to your biological age are shown separately in the report.
Tracks change
The effect of lifestyle changes can be tracked with repeat measurements at intervals.

About biological age
Biological age is an estimate of how your body is ageing, independent of the calendar. A few examples:
Routine blood test
PhenoAge is calculated from routine blood values such as albumin, creatinine, glucose and CRP; no special genetic test is needed.
Life's Essential 8
The American Heart Association's score that measures cardiovascular health with eight core components.
Sleep
With its 2022 update, Life's Essential 8 added sleep as the eighth component of cardiovascular health.
Social connection
Strong social relationships are linked to longer life in research; GenoAge assesses this area too.
These examples are for general information; what they mean for you becomes clear through your report and physician consultation.

Frequently asked questions
What people ask
How is biological age calculated?
GenoAge calculates your biological age with the PhenoAge method, using nine routine blood values and your calendar age. The lifestyle survey and cardiovascular health components are reported as additional scores.
Is GenoAge a genetic test?
No. GenoAge is based on your blood values and lifestyle data. To see your inherited genetic tendencies, take a look at the GenoMetabolics and GenoNutra analyses.
How should I prepare for the test?
The blood sample is taken on an empty stomach. Because a recent fever, infection or intense exercise can affect some values, the survey asks about these too; we send detailed preparation instructions before your appointment.
Can my biological age change?
The blood values that make up biological age can change with lifestyle and health. The measurement can therefore be repeated at intervals to track change.
How is it different from the self-assessment?
The biological age self-assessment on our website is a short survey-based estimate. GenoAge is a report calculated from your blood values, clinical measurements and a comprehensive survey, and reviewed with your physician.
Limits of the results
Genetic analysis does not diagnose and does not recommend treatment. A tendency does not mean a trait will necessarily develop; nutrition, lifestyle, environment and overall health also shape the outcome. Findings do not replace measured biomarkers and are always interpreted together with your medical history, examination and laboratory results. GenoAge results do not diagnose; biological age is an estimate and is interpreted together with clinical assessment.
Your genetic data and privacy
Genetic data is personal and sensitive. Your results are shared only with you and, with your consent, with your care team, and are stored in line with data protection law.
