The one thing that will never change throughout your life is your genetic code. Reading it is like opening your body’s user manual.

What is it?

DNA analysis examines specific variations in your genetic make-up using a simple mouth-swab sample. The aim is not to diagnose a disease, but to understand how your body tends to respond to food, exercise and environmental factors.

Which questions does it shed light on?

  • Nutrition. How you tend to use carbohydrates and fats, and whether your need for certain vitamins and minerals is higher.
  • Exercise. Your predisposition towards endurance- or strength-focused training and your recovery tendency.
  • Metabolism. How you metabolise substances such as caffeine.
  • Detoxification and oxidative stress. Genetic tendencies related to the body’s defence systems.

How is it done?

The sample is taken painlessly from inside the cheek with a swab and sent to our partner laboratory. Our analyses are carried out in partnership with GENOMEDİS.

Which analyses are available?

  • GenoMetabolics. A comprehensive genetic map of your metabolism across 19 metabolic pathways, 137 sections and 621 variants.
  • GenoNutra. Your responses to nutrition and lifestyle, based on your genetic make-up, across 10 main groups and 74 topics.

Both analyses can be run on the same sample. Whether to plan one or both is something we decide together after your physician assessment.

How are the results used?

Your results are reviewed together with your physician and dietitian, and your nutrition protocol and movement programme are personalised accordingly. Genes are not destiny: whether a tendency appears depends largely on lifestyle. DNA analysis helps us design that lifestyle around you.

Which programmes include it?

Following a physician’s assessment, this measurement can be planned as needed as part of the longevity assessment and the one-month programmes.
