Dr. Sevgi Ünver is an expert in molecular biology and genetics.
Education
She completed her undergraduate and master’s studies at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Boğaziçi University, then continued in a doctoral programme at the University of Delaware in the United States. She received a doctorate in business administration from Istanbul Bilgi University.
Career
After returning to Türkiye she worked as a clinical research manager at Pharmacia/Pfizer, and for sixteen years held director and management positions at international pharmaceutical companies including Pharmacia/Pfizer, Serono, Merck Serono, Merck/MSD and Montero. In 2016 she founded Genomedis Biotechnology and began research and development work in genetics and biotechnology. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students at universities as a visiting lecturer.

Her main areas of work are genomics, gene-editing technologies, biotechnology and clinical research management.
